An experienced board-certified Critical Care/Trauma Physician providing inpatient adult trauma and ICU care at a Level II trauma facility. Responsibilities include ICU rounding, admitting, supervising residents, and performing critical procedures such as intubation and thoracentesis. The role requires coverage of day and night shifts with support from advanced practice providers and involvement in multidisciplinary critical care teams.
Start Date: July 3 (On-going Opportunity)
Coverage Needs Details:
- In-patient Adult Trauma Setting
- Regularly Scheduled Shifts (No Call)
- Days and Nights needed (7am to 7pm), (7pm to 7am)
- Level II Trauma Facility
- Open Dates: July 3-9 (Nights), July 17-23 (Days, Nampa), August 7-9 (Days), August 14-16 (Days)
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum Board Status: Board Certified
- Fellowship in Critical Care
- Certifications: ACLS, DEA, CSR
- Comfortable performing required procedures list (See Job Details below)
- Idaho License or IMLC
- Must Have proof of Covid-19 Vaccination (Verbal Confirmation needed at the time of name clear)
Job Details
- EMR: EPIC
- Inpatient ICU rounding/admitting, occasional pulmonary consult
- Census: 25 patients per day, avg 5 admissions at night
- Support Staff: APP s support ICU physicians, though they already have a formal supervising physician
- Locum would be involved in covering/supervising family medicine resident occasionally
- Est Credentialing TImeframe: 60 - 90 days
- 44 critical care beds, 22 trauma, neurosurgery, stroke and medical icu
- 10 pulmonologists in group
- 381 beds total in facility
- Testing/Procedures Required: Laryngoscopy, THoracentesis, Intubation
Compensation for this opportunity is highly competitive at $300/hr.
