Summary:

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated Vascular Sonographer who is committed to delivering high‑quality patient care. In this role, you will perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound examinations and generate accurate, reliable diagnostic images used to evaluate arterial and venous anatomy, blood flow characteristics, and overall hemodynamic status.

This position plays a key role in ensuring patient safety by consistently following established protocols, quality standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform vascular ultrasound examinations including carotid duplex, arterial and venous studies, ABI testing, and other related procedures.

  • Analyze and interpret ultrasound data to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment planning.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely documentation of procedures.

  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.

  • Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

  • Provide compassionate care and clear communication to patients throughout the procedure.

Qualifications:

LEVEL I

Experience:

  • Less than 2 years.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Graduate of a two-year Allied Health Training Program preferred

Credentials:

  • Must pass registry exam for ARDMS (RVT) or CCI (RVS) within one year of hire.

OR

  • If credentialed in General will need to pass registry exam for ARDMS (RVT) or CCI (RVS) within one year of hire.

Certs:

  • Current BLS required at time of hire

  • NMRTT - or registry eligible

LEVEL II

Experience:

  • 2 or more years of experience inpatient/outpatient vascular or general ultrasound or promoted from within organization.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Graduate of a two-year Allied Health Training Program preferred

Credentials:

  • ARDMS (RVT) /CCI (RVS) credential required at time of hire

OR

  • If credentialed in General will need to pass registry exam for ARDMS (RVT) or CCI (RVS) within one year of hire.

Certs:

  • Current BLS required at time of hire

  • NMRTT - or registry eligible

LEVEL III

Experience:

  • 5 years or more experience inpatient/outpatient vascular ultrasound. Promoted by natural progression by exhibiting excellent competencies and assigned a lead position, quality coordinator, or resource sonographer.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Graduate of a two-year Allied Health Training Program preferred

Credentials:

  • ARDMS (RVT) /CCI (RVS) credential required at time of hire

OR

  • If credentialed in General will need to pass registry exam for ARDMS (RVT) or CCI (RVS) within one year of hire.

Certs:

  • Current BLS required at time of hire

  • NMRTT - or registry eligible
