We have a client in Illinois that is launching a new Medical Oncology practice and seeking a full-time Medical Oncologist to join their team on a locum tenens basis.

Overview:

• Schedule: Minimum of 3 weeks preferred, Monday Friday
• Shift Hours: 7:30 AM start, 8 10 hour shifts
• Estimated Shifts: 20 per month
• No call or weekend coverage required
• Support: On-site APP for consults, follow-ups, and patient management; PRN Medical Oncologist available one week per month
• EMR: Epic

Responsibilities include:

• Direct patient care including consults, admissions, and follow-ups
• Hospital rounding as needed
• Coordination with APPs for patient management and orders
• Multidisciplinary care planning with the cancer care team
• Coverage when PRN Oncologist is not on-site

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology
• Active Illinois medical license (CSR required)
• DEA and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
