Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Minimum of 3 years PCU, ICU, or Step Down experience required
• Travel experience highly preferred
• Patient ratios: 3:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required with minimum of 7 weekend shifts per 13 week contract
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Float required in case of low census
• One pre-approved time off allowed
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with daily census of 9
• 9 rooms and 9 beds available
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS within first year, NIHSS
• Current Arkansas or Compact State RN license required
• ADN required, BSN preferred
• PNCC certification preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Provide direct patient care and nursing leadership
• Utilize nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Care for patients including post-op cardiac surgeries, vascular surgeries, post-catheterization procedures, CHF and COPD exacerbations
• Perform special procedures including cardioversions, tracheostomy care, central monitoring, and moderate sedation
• Work with specialized equipment including monitors and Zoll defibrillators
