Schedule

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekend requirements every other weekend and holiday availability if needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room will be responsible for providing emergency care for adult patients, performing assessments, developing treatment plans, and administering medications and treatments as per established protocols. This role requires strong collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage emergency medical situations and perform triage for all incoming patients.
• Administer IV therapy, including blood product administration and central line care.
• Provide ventilator management and care for patients requiring CPAP/BiPAP.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias effectively.
• Utilize Emergency Care practices for various adult and pediatric emergencies.
• Maintain patient safety through isolation precautions and effective patient handling protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York Single State RN license (non-compact).
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required; PALS and TNCC certifications are preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an emergency department setting.
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement.
• Demonstrated experience with emergency care procedures and patient care management.
