Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring an active OH or compact license and recent specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Hospital setting on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Night shift schedule with 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
- Patient population consists of adult Med/Surg Telemetry cases
- Uses Qualivis – Lotus for submitting hours worked
- RTO requests must be discussed during the interview and included prior to consideration
- Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to work at this health system for one year after previous assignment ends
- Must complete onsite badging and fingerprinting prior to start date
- Assignment extensions possible up to 18 months with a mandatory 6-month break before returning
- Annual and pre-start modules must be completed; maximum 4 billable hours for annual modules
- PBDS Assessment is waived for this assignment
- PAPRs will not be provided for facial hair unless a medical or religious exemption is approved
- Exempt from nicotine-free facility requirement for nurses until further notice
Requirements
- Active permanent OH or compact RN license in hand
- Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience prior to travel required
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required and must be active
- At least one reference from a supervisory source in the specialty is required for consideration
- Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (two attempts allowed)
- Negative 10 Panel drug screen including nicotine required within 12 months of start
