Title: Speech Language Pathologist – Acute Care
Location: Randallstown, MD
Duration: 14 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5×8 hours (08:00–16:30), Tuesday–Saturday schedule (one weekend day each week)
Provide acute care speech-language pathology services to adult and geriatric patients
Conduct comprehensive SLP evaluations, including bedside swallow assessments and Modified Barium Swallow Studies
Implement individualized treatment plans for dysphagia, dysarthria, voice, TBI, CVA, and tracheostomy patients
Conduct, interpret, and document Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluations of Swallow (FEES) when required
Educate patients and families on communication strategies, alternative communication devices, and adaptive equipment
Perform assessments, plan of care development, re-assessments, and discharge planning
Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate documentation and SLP evaluation coding
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and safety
Required Qualifications:
CCC-SLP certification
Minimum 3 years of acute care SLP experience
Active Maryland license or Compact license
BLS certification
Experience with Cerner EMR
Ability to work a Tuesday–Saturday schedule with one weekend day each week
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
FEES certification
LSVT, Vital Stim, or MBSImP certification
Outpatient SLP experience
Experience with adult neurological cases such as TBI and CVA
Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication devices and strategies
