Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a day shift Emergency Department Short Stay Unit position in New York, requiring EPIC experience and a current NY RN license.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Emergency Department Short Stay Unit of a hospital
- Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 19:00
- 13-week assignment
- Uses EPIC EMR and prior experience is required
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- Competency testing may be required, with two attempts allowed
- More than three call outs during the contract may result in termination and make-up shifts must be completed within six weeks
- RTO must be requested at time of submission
- No local candidates accepted from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties (50-mile radius rule)
- Travel pairs are not allowed
- Candidates may only be considered for one position at a time
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in the emergency specialty
- Certifications from AHA or RQI (must be current and provided)
- EPIC EMR experience required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number required
- Medical exemption only for flu vaccination, no personal or religious exemptions accepted
