The position is for a travel nurse Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Emergency Department (ED) on 12-hour night shifts for a 9-week contract in Wausau, Wisconsin. The role requires at least five years of nursing experience, including trauma Level II, and familiarity with Epic charting, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications. The nurse will work in a fast-paced, multi-specialty ED environment with responsibilities including patient care, lab draws, and medication administration using Pyxis.

• Shift Requirements: 12 hour nights 7p-730a
• Float requirements: May be required to float to other locations: Merrill, Antigo, Medford and Stanley.
• On Call/Call Back Requirements: 12 hours in a 6 week period. Response time: 30 Min
• Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Required Certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC and PALS
• Minimum Experience: 5 years - must have at least one year of travel experience- FIRM required.
Trauma Level II experience required.
• Charting Experience: EPIC required
• Unit Information: Trauma level II, 18 bed unit, stroke certified, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, respiratory, etc. Very face-paced environment. 3-4 pts per nurse. Epic computer charting. Pyxis medication dispenser. RNs draw labs, lab in house, RN does neb treatments. RT in house. Xray staff on site in ED.
