American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Outpatient Speech-Language Pathologist with experience in pediatric neurologically impaired populations and Epic proficiency.
Responsibilities- Outpatient pediatric speech pathology setting
- Provides care for pediatric patients with a range of speech and language disorders
- Works as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside OT, PT, and local providers
- Responsible for evaluation and treatment of expressive/receptive language delays, apraxia, stuttering, AAC device use, social communication disorders, and autism spectrum disorders
- Utilizes Epic for documentation, Epic experience required
- 8-hour day shifts, schedule of 4x12 hours per week
- 50-mile radius restriction for candidates, local candidates not accepted
- Diagnoses and treats speech and language problems in children
- Plans and conducts rehabilitative programs to improve communication efficiency
- Participates as a member of a multidisciplinary therapy team
- Expected to meet all relevant state licensing requirements
- Must be able to meet age-specific care needs for assigned pediatric unit
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
- Master's degree in Speech Pathology required
- Certification with the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) required
- Current State of Idaho Speech Language Pathologist Licensure or temporary SLP Provisional Permit required (license required if applicable)
- At least 1 year of experience with pediatric neurologically impaired patient populations
- Experience in evaluation and treatment of pediatric speech disorders, expressive/receptive language delays, apraxia, stuttering, AAC devices, social communication disorders, and autism spectrum disorders
- Epic EMR experience required
