Locum Tenens Opportunity: Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine near Portland, ME Are you an experienced physician specializing in General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury? We have an exciting locum tenens opportunity near Portland, ME for a position that offers flexibility and a meaningful role in serving our nation s Veterans. This is a PRN position available ASAP and ongoing. Position Overview: Profession: Physician Specialty: Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine Dates: ASAP - Ongoing Rate Type: Daily Shift Type: Days Coverage Details: Options for Coverage: Travel and perform exams at a VES leased facility Schedule Veterans within your own practice Shift Options: Work days (4 hours) and/or full days (8 hours) Exam Type: One-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and separation health assessments Responsibilities: Conduct interviews and physical assessments, including range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, and evaluation of traumatic brain injury Perform a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams No prescribing or treatment required Qualifications: Board Certification: Required in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) State License: Required in Maine Certifications: DMA certification (CME credits available) must obtain if not already certified; client does not reimburse for DMA certifications or portal training Equipment: Own personal laptop (NO MACs) Required Skills: Use of Goniometer, familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio; proficient in METs testing, and evaluating respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions Additional Information: Credentialing Timeframe: Quick credentialing and onboarding Support: Normal nursing and tech support available at the facility This role offers flexibility in scheduling and the chance to make a significant impact on Veterans' health while working in a supportive environment.
