Job Description

We are seeking an experienced MedSurg RN to join our team in a critical care step-down unit, focusing on providing exceptional, evidence-based care. The MedSurg RN will be responsible for managing patients with continuous monitoring needs and will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for MedSurg patients.
• Administer and titrate medications via IV as needed.
• Perform cardiac monitoring, including interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Manage airway support including BIPAP and non-invasive airway management.
• Provide high-quality patient care with a focus on pulmonary patients.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of MedSurg nursing experience required.
• New York State license in hand is mandatory for submission.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is a hard requirement.
• Experience in arterial line management and vasopressor titration is required.
