This position is for a board-certified Hematology/Oncology Physician at a Level 2 trauma facility in Tacoma, WA, specializing mostly in solid tumors and some lymphoma cases. The role requires managing up to 15 patients per shift with a Monday to Friday schedule and focuses on cancer care without performing procedures such as bone marrow transplants. The facility uses the Epic/Beacon electronic medical record system and offers competitive compensation with malpractice coverage included.

This is a Level 2 trauma facility offering comprehensive cancer care services. The center features a well-established hematology/oncology department with excellent support staff including MAs and RNs, and utilizes the Epic/Beacon electronic medical record system.
Opportunity:
Advanced Practice (NP) - Physician Assistant - Hematology Oncology, Nurse Practitioner - Hematology Oncology
Job Details:
• ASAP start needed with March being a realistic timeline considering credentialing requirements
• Minimum 6-month contract commitment
• Monday to Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Manage approximately 15 patient encounters per shift
• Practice consists of 60% oncology and 40% hematology
• Focus primarily on solid tumors with some lymphoma cases
• No procedures, bone marrow transplants, or leukemia cases
• Epic/Beacon experience is highly preferred
• Must be board certified with clean professional history
• Active Washington state license or IMLC required
• Required certifications include ABLS, ACLS, and BLS
• Credentialing timeframe is 90-120 days (expedited privileges possible with clean history)
• Lodging recommendations available through the facility's preferred list
• Sea-Tac is the nearest airport for travel arrangements
