A Radiology Physician performs diagnostic imaging interpretations including CT, MRI, and X-ray in both inpatient and outpatient settings, primarily covering weekend day shifts. The role involves reading high volumes of cases, providing final reads, and addressing mild trauma cases, often working independently. The position requires board certification or eligibility, with flexibility for onsite or remote work while utilizing EMR systems like EPIC.
EMR system: EPIC
Reason for Coverage: Gap coverage; Critically short of RAD on Weekend Day shift ; 1 year w/ possible extension
FTE or Shifts per month needed: 1 FTE
Inpatient, Outpatient or both: Both
Target start date and Length of need: Immediate start as soon as credentials
Locums Shift Schedule: 8a-4p Sat/Sun ; prefer onsite but may consider remote (must have their own workstation)
Call Schedule and Call Responsibilities: N/a
Typically, there are 300-500 cases left over for our radiologist to read during their shifts. The candidate would be asked to read as many as they can in a safe manner.
About 60 cross sectional exams and some plain films.
Type of patients / cases / procedures required: CT, MRI, Xray ; Final Reads; Mild Trauma
Available support staff: None ; they will be Solo
Certifications required (Board Certification/Truly Board Eligible or life support, etc.): BC/Truly BE
Vaccination Requirements: Flu
Will you accept licensure candidates (IMLC or standard process)? Active/IMLC LOQ candidates (CSR takes 4 weeks and DEA's are taking 1-2 weeks to come in.)
Minimum candidate commitment to consider: 2 weekend per month minimum but open to options. need all weekends covered
Miscellaneous Information: Can work remote ; they need to have their own workstations; It helps if they are used to working in the ER. Will see mild trauma but experience is not required
