A Non-Invasive Cardiologist position based in Western Massachusetts offering a collegial, team-based, patient-centric environment across three locations. The role involves a 36-hour clinical workweek with outpatient and inpatient care, shared night and weekend call rotations, and performing diagnostic cardiac tests including EKGS, TEEs, Nuclear Stress tests, and Echocardiograms. The hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Facility with advanced cardiac imaging and electrophysiology labs, supporting academic residents and collaborative care.
Western Massachusetts Non Invasive Cardiology

- An incoming provider can expect a 36 clinical work week and 4 hours admin. (40 hour position)
- One will have a dedicated MA, APP that follows the team using a team approach. The hours most providers work are from 8-5 PM.
- Outpatient volume per day? 10-12 patients per day
- Share night call that covers all 3 locations (0-5 pages per night) but would not need to go into all three facilities but possibly one.
- Partake in rotation of call, currently 1:7 for night call, will be 1:8 when this provider joins. Some weekends included in call.
- EKGS, TEE s, Nuclear Stress, and ECHOS are all done. Reading is shared and one person is assigned per day to read each.
- Approximately 2 TEE s to perform a week and 20-30 Echos to read when assigned for the day.
- Support staff? 1 CSR
- Small office with 2 providers (1 MD and 1 NP). A NP goes on site monthly to do device checks.
- They have invasive but no onsite interventional or cardiothoracic surgical services. Invasive procedures include EP (ablations, pacemakers, etc.) and diagnostic cath.
- Currently have a full service Electrphysiology lab, catheterization lab (Diagnostic lab only), and Advanced Imaging Center (Cardiac CTA and Cardiac MRI S) in main location only
- Radiology collaborates on reading of Cardiac MRI but other than that, radiology is not involved in cardiology
- Academic with Residents rotating through the main facility
- The Hospital is a 25-bed federally designated Critical Access Hospital located in western Mass.
