Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) position requiring a compact or MD RN license and previous stepdown experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Intermediate Care (IMC) unit
- Day shift schedule of 3x12 hours (07:00-19:00)
- Patient ratio of 4-6 per nurse in the IMC unit
- Floats required to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units as needed, with ratios of 1:5/1:6
- Every other weekend coverage required and determined by unit operations
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Nurses may provide care in IMC, Telemetry, or Medical-Surgical units as patient needs require
- Weekend coverage assignments are directed by operational needs
Requirements
- Active RN license in MD or compact state required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant RN experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- PCU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience strongly preferred
