Join Our Team as a Locum Physician - Gastroenterology in Petoskey, MI

Embark on a rewarding locum opportunity specializing in Gastroenterology in the picturesque setting of Petoskey, Michigan. As a key member of our medical team, you will support hospital-based clinics, perform outpatient and inpatient scopes, and ensure seamless Gastroenterological services for our community.

Required Skills:

• Valid medical license to practice in Michigan
• Board-certified or eligible in Gastroenterology
• Proven experience in performing ERCP procedures
• Proficiency in endoscopy and related clinical management
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently within the hospital setting
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR)

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with hospital-based outpatient clinics
• Prior experience in a locum or temporary physician role
• Additional certifications related to advanced endoscopic procedures
• Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Completion of a Gastroenterology fellowship
• Minimum of 2 years clinical practice post-board certification
• Prior experience performing ERCP procedures in a hospital setting

Other Requirements:

• Availability for shifts from August 14, 2025, through November 6, 2025
• Availability for scheduled shifts Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Must perform ERCP procedures
• Onsite support from 2 physicians and 2 APPs
• Support for outpatient scopes and inpatient consults within scheduled hours
• Ability to work with Cerner EMR system
• Transportation and reliable internet access for documentation
• Willingness to comply with hospital policies, including use of DocTime for clocking in/out
