Role Overview
Provide technical leadership for building automation and control systems projects, from design through commissioning. Lead engineering execution, support project teams, and work directly with customers during design reviews, startup, and acceptance testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and provide technical direction to multi-discipline controls engineering teams
- Design control systems including instrumentation, control panels, and electrical schematics
- Configure and program PLC, DDC, and DCS control strategies
- Develop and configure HMI and user interface screens
- Support project scope changes, estimates, and technical documentation
- Execute factory testing, onsite startup, loop checks, calibration, and tuning
- Troubleshoot system and installation issues during commissioning
- Support customer demonstrations, acceptance testing, and end-user training
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or related Technical Degree
- 3+ years of experience in related field/industry
- Controls Experience in at least one of the following: Rockwell FactoryTalk & Studio 5000 (PlantPAx), Aveva System Platform, Ignition Perspective, Distech (BACnet/LON/Eclypse), Niagara N4, Metasys, SQL, Python/VBA, Kepware OPC; HVAC controls, P&IDs, panel layouts, electrical schematics, functional testing, and commissioning.
- HVAC & Building Automation Expertise
Working knowledge of large-scale HVAC systems and plant utilities
Understanding of sequences of operation and HVAC P&IDs
Experience with functional testing, commissioning, and test plan execution
Instrumentation and control valve specification for HVAC application
