Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide emergency medical care for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting
- Perform newborn resuscitation and manage ventilation, including airway establishment and various ventilation modes for up to 24 hours without pulmonary consultation
- Diagnose and manage common industrial-related medical problems
- Conduct orthopedic management for non-displaced fractures and suture minor lacerations
- Perform incision and drainage procedures
- Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues
- Place and manage central and arterial lines
- Interpret EKGs
- Conduct arthrocentesis, lumbar punctures, and paracentesis
- Manage uncomplicated psychiatric cases across all age groups
- Perform additional emergency medicine related procedures as needed
Additional Information
- Michigan medical license required
- Board certification in Emergency Medical Services required
- Current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS required
- Experience with both adult and pediatric patient populations preferred
