Shift: 24-hour on-call, primarily weekends, potentially holidays

Position Details:
Patient Population: Trauma / ACS
Setting: Level II Trauma Hospital
Responsibilities: Provide trauma coverage, including primary responsibility for trauma patients, usual and customary trauma procedures.
Required Procedures: Trauma surgeries, ACS procedures, including ex lap, appendectomy, small bowel resuscitation, I&D abscess, debridement of soft tissue infections.
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff: PAs during the day, usual hospital support staff
Days Per Month: 2-4
On-Call/Weekends: 24-hour on-call, with the possibility of working weekends and holidays

Submission Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Required

• State License Required

• Trauma Fellowship Required

• DEA and ATLS (ATLS does not need to be current) Required

• Malpractice Clean Preferred

• Travel within California Required
