The Events Manager is responsible for planning and executing weddings and private events, managing client relationships, and coordinating logistics to ensure flawless event delivery. This role requires coordinating vendors, staffing, timelines, and event documentation while leading event staff and collaborating with other departments. Strong communication, leadership skills, and experience in event management, particularly weddings, are essential for success in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule.
We are seeking an experienced and service-driven Event Manager to lead the planning and execution of weddings and private events at our venue. This role is responsible for managing client relationships post-contract, coordinating logistics, and overseeing flawless day-of-event execution. The ideal candidate excels in a fast-paced environment, remains composed under pressure, and delivers exceptional attention to detail and guest care.
Event Planning & Execution
- Manage weddings and private events from contract through day-of execution
- Coordinate vendors, staffing, timelines, and logistics
- Prepare and manage BEOs, floor plans, and event documentation
- Lead event staff and pre-shifts; partner with Banquet and BOH teams for seamless service
- Proactively resolve on-site issues and ensure exceptional guest experience
- Support tastings, walkthroughs, and weekly operations meetings
Client Communication & Revenue Growth
- Serve as primary client contact throughout planning and event days
- Communicate client needs clearly across departments
- Respond promptly via phone, email, and in person
- Upsell event enhancements and participate in quarterly tastings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Management, Communications, or related field)
- 3–4 years of event management experience (wedding experience required)
- Proficiency with event and planning software (Tripleseat, Google Suite)
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Schedule & Physical Requirements
- Flexible schedule required; nights and weekends essential
- Ability to stand/walk 8–10 hours per shift
- Lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, pushing, and stair climbing
