Travel Nursing Job Details

• Unit: Level II RN ICU Stepdown (Neuromusculoskeletal)
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 4, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 3x12 hour rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights), including weekends, holidays, on-call, and charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• Number of Openings: 5
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2160 - $2210

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NY RN license required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – American Heart Association
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – American Heart Association
• Telemetry nursing experience required
• High-acuity stroke and neurosurgery nursing experience required
• Proficiency with Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, 3%NS and cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, DBS (Deep Brain Stimulator) insertion, VP shunts, and seizure management

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based, compassionate care to patients in the ICU Stepdown unit
• Conduct high-acuity neuro and neurosurgical assessments and interventions
• Monitor and manage telemetry and advanced neurovascular equipment
• Work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed
• Serve as charge nurse, preceptor, and participate in nursing committees
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Uphold service excellence and pursue ongoing professional nursing development
