Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in Florida with Epic experience and specialized certifications required.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
- Patient ratio is 1:2
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 18:45 to 07:15
- Required to work every other weekend or a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period, determined by unit needs
- On-call required as needed
- Floating required to all four hospitals within the system
- Uses Epic documentation system
- Nurses will provide comprehensive care for laboring patients and newborns
- Benefits from provided scrubs in any solid color; tops and bottoms must match color without logos or prints
- Free parking available with a decal provided at orientation
- First-time travelers are accepted for this role
- Both local and travel candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Applicants who have previously held an internal contracted position must wait one year before reapplying
- Finalized requests for time off must be submitted prior to offer; no changes accepted after offer
Requirements
- Active Florida or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
- Certifications required: ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM); BLS and AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Two professional references from authority figures within the past year required
- Flu vaccine required between 10/31 and 3/31, with only medical or religious exemptions accepted
