Are you a skilled radiologist seeking a locum tenens position in a vibrant area of South Carolina? We have an exciting opportunity near Florence, SC, offering competitive scheduling, varied practice settings, and access to both inpatient and outpatient care. This position is open from November 2024 through April 2025, providing comprehensive radiological services to meet a range of patient needs. Position Details: Location: Near Florence, South Carolina Position Type: Locum Tenens Radiologist Duration: November 4, 2024 - April 4, 2025 (with select specific dates available during this period) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts, no night calls Settings: Both inpatient and outpatient coverage required Patient Volume: Approximately 125+ reads daily Key Responsibilities: Clinical Coverage: Perform both general and advanced radiology procedures, including: CT, MRI, PET scans, and ultrasound (general, OB, abdominal, pediatric, thyroid, etc.) Bone density scans and general plain film radiography Interventional radiology procedures (light IR such as thoracentesis and paracentesis) Specialized procedures, including joint/epidural injections, hysterosalpingograms, and various biopsies Technology Systems: Utilize MediTech for EMR, McKesson for PACS, and Fluency for reading Certification Requirements: Must hold active South Carolina medical licensure; certifications in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, ABLS, and PALS are required Hospital Privileges: Temporary privileges are available; completion of documentation of practice (DOP) may be needed Ideal Candidate: Certification: Board-certified in radiology, with fellowship training preferred Experience: Skilled in both diagnostic and interventional radiology Commitment: Able to work select dates with a high level of adaptability and efficiency in various imaging modalities Benefits: Travel and Lodging: Recommendations available for convenient local accommodations Support: Collaborative team environment, though no advanced practice provider supervision or teaching responsibilities required This locum tenens role is an excellent chance to join a dynamic radiology team in a well-facilitated setting while enjoying flexible scheduling and ample support for your work.
