Opportunity Specifics:

• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital
• Practice: CRNA Only
• Dates: ASAP - ongoing
• Schedule: 3 weeks on / 1 week off
  • 7 am – 3 pm Monday through Friday
  • Call 3 pm – 7 am
• Number of providers during the day: 3

Cases:

• Endo, OB/GYN, Peds, ENT, General, Ortho, Ophthalmology, Podiatry
• Spinals, Blocks, Epidurals - must be proficient: Yes

Job Description:

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Candidate Requirements:

• Active Kansas License
• Graduate of an accredited program
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
