Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring recent procedural and critical care skills, with an active OK or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology department
- Position provides care to patients under mild sedation, including critical care cases
- Procedures involve ultrasound, CT, and interventional radiology
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
- Schedule is 4x10 hour day shifts with call required on weekdays and weekends
- Patient care may include assisting with minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
- Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring patients, and assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Must be able to organize, plan, and delegate nursing care as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- Position does not accept candidates living within a 50 mile radius of the facility
- Professional scrubs are required as dress code
- Holiday and weekend call coverage required
Requirements
- Active OK or compact multistate RN license required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required within 6 months of hire
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required from an accredited program
- Minimum one year of relevant experience in procedural or interventional radiology nursing required
- Strong ability to function independently in specialty area
- Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
