Responsible for defining clinical priorities within neurology and neurosurgery, recruitment of appropriate physician staff, clinical oversight of EEG, EMG, Stroke Unit, research and other neuroscience initiatives to be developed within WellSpan Health. Administers and directs the activities of assigned personnel. Provides medical care to patients. Reviews the quality, adequacy and appropriateness of services within the department.
WellSpan Health is seeking a Chief for the Division of Adult Neurology for a system-wide role overseeing Adult Neurology care across 7 acute care hospitals, 9+ clinical sites within 9 counties in central Pennsylvania.
Position Highlights:
- Report to the VP/CMO, Neuroscience Service Line
- Oversee quality, standardization and provider engagement in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- 0.3 FTE protected administrative time
- Directors already in place who manage operations
- Clinical expertise in Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Neuro Critical Care preferred
- Highly qualified candidates may be considered for the position of Associate CMO, Neuroscience Service Line in addition to the Division Chief role.
- Development of a Neurology Residency is expected in the upcoming years, associated with the opening of the medical school. The Division Chief may be expected to help with the recruitment of the Program Director and with faculty development. In that case - we will consider a greater time commitment by adding academic time.
