A Hematology/Oncology Physician responsible for diagnosing and treating cancer, blood disorders, and solid tumors in both in-patient and out-patient settings. Key duties include administering chemotherapy, performing bone marrow biopsies, managing oncology emergencies, and coordinating care with radiation and surgical specialists. Requires an M.D., completion of residency and fellowship in hematology-oncology, and a New Mexico medical license.
Hematology/Oncology - Southeastern New Mexico
Duties: Diagnose and provide medical treatment for cancer, solid tumors, and benign and malignant blood disorders. On in-patient and out-patient basis, write and administer chemotherapy orders, perform bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures, review smears and refer patients for radiation oncology and surgery services as needed. On an in-patient basis, evaluate oncology emergencies and treatment-related complications, deliver chemo-infusion, and provide consultation services to other healthcare professionals.
Requirements: M.D. degree in medicine, completion of 3-year residency in Internal Medicine, completion of a 3-year fellowship in hematology-oncology, and New Mexico license to practice medicine.
Full-time. M-F, 8 am 5 pm.
