This position is for a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery at a healthcare facility in Reston, Virginia. The role involves providing patient care in a fast-paced labor and delivery unit, performing procedures such as cesarean sections and epidurals, and requires certifications such as BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWOHHN Fetal Heart Rate Intermediate. The travel nurse will work 12-hour night shifts over a 13-week contract with benefits including dental, vision, and continuing education.

General Information
Unit Specifics:
- 15 LDR
- 3 OB triage rooms
- 3 ORs
- 4 bay PACU
- 4 antepartum rooms.
- Level III NICU
- Documentation system: Meditech, CPN
- Scheduling requirements: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
- Floating policy: within women’s and children’s service line
- Patient Experience requirements: labor and delivery, circulate c sections, IV drips such as magnesium, high acuity
Hospital Specifics-
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWOHHN Fetal Heart Rate Intermediate
Hiring Profile
Advanced skills needed:
- Experience with fast paced LD unit
- Experience with scrub role and circulating in OR helpful
Procedures performed on unit: c/sections, epidurals, blood patch, spinals, cerclage, version
We do not require EFM intermediate
We do not perform blood patch almost ever so please remove that
