PCU RN Job Details

• Location: Springfield, VT (zip 05156) – Vermont healthcare jobs
• Facility: Inpatient Progressive Care Unit (IPCU), 25 beds
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Employment Type: Travel RN (W2)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990-$2130

PCU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Vermont RN license (required for Vermont nursing jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
• Drip administration and monitoring experience required
• ICU experience strongly preferred
• At least 3 months of prior travel nursing experience (required)
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience in small, critical access healthcare facilities preferred
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA)
• Willingness to float to any inpatient unit within RN scope of practice
• Reliable personal vehicle required

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in an adaptive acuity Progressive Care Unit
• Provide PCU-level clinical support with a 3:1 nurse-to-patient ratio as needed
• Manage patient assignments up to a 1:5 ratio
• Administer and monitor drips and advanced therapies
• Float to other inpatient units as required by hospital needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in every other weekend and holiday coverage
