A growing precision manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support complex precision machining operations, strengthen manufacturing processes, and improve production performance across two locations. This role fits engineers who thrive in smaller and mid size companies where they own more of the process, develop deeper technical skills, and contribute directly to product quality and throughput.
Manufacturing Engineer What You Will Do
- Interpret customer drawings, specifications, work instructions, control plans, and GD and T requirements
- Create BOMs, routings, item masters, process flows, and maintain accurate data in the ERP system
- Analyze customer prints and requirements to develop efficient machining and fabrication processes
- Work with production teams to resolve tooling, work holding, machining, and sequencing issues
- Create and design work holdings, fixtures, and tooling to support manufacturing or quality
- Interact with customers on technical questions, drawing clarifications, and manufacturability improvements
- Support repeat production, contract reviews, estimating, and tolerance related evaluations
- Assist with internal and external corrective actions and ensure proper flow down of requirements
Manufacturing Engineer What You Bring
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing process engineering
- 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing, ideally in 20-100 million revenue precision machining companies
- Strong ability to interpret drawings, control plans, specifications, and GD and T
- 4-plus years of CAD experience using Master Cam, Unigraphics, SolidWorks or similar systems
- 5-plus years of experience working in CNC machining or fabrication environments
- Demonstrated skill in creating tooling, fixturing, machining sequences, and process optimization
- Strong troubleshooting ability for tooling, work holding, and machining approach
- Stable work history with limited job hopping and clear progression
