Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. This position requires both armed responsibilities and driving duties. You will be a visible presence on-site, responding to situations as needed and supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter, observing for any unusual activity and reporting as necessary.
• Assist in helping to deter criminal activity and unauthorized access by maintaining a visible presence during patrols.
• Monitor and control access points, verifying identification and credentials as required.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or incidents that may arise within the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
