Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring Level 1 Trauma and EPIC charting experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Two 13-hour call shifts are required per 6-week schedule, with onsite response required within one hour
- Level 1 Trauma patient population
- Uses EPIC for documentation
- Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers and families
- Implements and modifies care plans based on continuous evaluation and patient needs
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care
- Promotes safety by identifying and reporting hazards in the work environment
- Fosters a collaborative team-oriented environment and provides constructive peer feedback
- RTO must not exceed 7 days in a 13-week contract
- Candidates cannot work more than one consecutive year at the facility without a 6-month break
- Travel partners are not accepted for this position
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license or temporary license in good standing
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting
- Documented experience working in a Level 1 Trauma environment
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
