Job Overview
An acute care hospital in Pagosa Springs, Colorado is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (Circulator) for a 13-week travel assignment. This role is ideal for an OR RN who is confident circulating in an acute care environment and values a consistent day-shift schedule in a smaller hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Circulate in the operating room for scheduled surgical procedures
- Prepare operating rooms, ensuring appropriate equipment and supplies are available
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
- Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists
- Document intraoperative care accurately and thoroughly
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and AORN standards
Requirements
- Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
- Recent Operating Room / Circulator experience required
- BLS certification required (additional certifications may be required)
- Strong understanding of perioperative workflows and sterile technique
- Ability to work independently in an acute care setting
