Qualifications/Certifications/Training/Skills:
Board certified in Neonatology preferred/Board Eligible, NRP certified, Intubation, Chest tube placement, Placement of central lines, Paracentesis, Spinal taps, exchange transfusion, thermal cooling, ventilator management including oscillators and iNO.
Types of cases generally treated by physician:
Level lll NICU without surgical sub-specialties, Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Pulmonary Hypertension, Pneumothorax, Sepsis, Seizures, Stabilize surgical cases for transport out, VLBW, NAS
Schedule and expectation:
Work in unit to round and manage daily census.
NNP takes first call at night while Neonatologist is called in with complex patients.
Minimum Board Certification: BC
