Are you a board-certified Gastroenterologist seeking a short-term locum tenens assignment in a scenic area of Michigan? This opportunity near Skanee, MI, offers a rewarding chance to work with a skilled team in a well-equipped facility. Position Details: Specialty: Gastroenterology Start Dates: March 10 17, 2025 March 28 April 1, 2025 June 3 6, 2025 July 4 7, 2025 August 22 25, 2025 Schedule: Monday Friday: 9-hour shifts with 1-hour lunch (8 hours billable) Weekday overnight call: 15 hours Weekend call: 24 hours Patients per Day: Up to 12 procedures/day Responsibilities: Perform a range of procedures, including: EGD Colonoscopy pH studies Manometry Sigmoidoscopy PEG/PEG-J tube placement Capsule endoscopy ERCP/EUS (preferred but not required) Review pathology and coordinate with nursing staff for patient follow-ups and communications. Independently complete charting and documentation using Cerner and Athena EMR systems. Facility Highlights: 4 procedure rooms with endoscopy suites. Advanced equipment, including Olympus scopes and EndoPro EMR. Hydrogen breath testing available. Propofol sedation supported. Collaborative, highly skilled endoscopy team. Requirements: Board certification in Gastroenterology. Active Michigan medical license. ACLS, BLS, PALS, ABLS, and ATLS certifications. Fellowship preferred but not required. Additional Information: No residents or teaching supervision required. Hospital and procedure privileges required (credentialing takes approximately 60 days).
