Job Title: Family Medicine Physician
Join a thriving Family Medicine practice in Bourbon, Indiana! This is an exciting opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine physician to be part of a dedicated team providing quality healthcare. Established in a warm and welcoming community, the practice offers a supportive environment along with the chance to engage in teaching residents through the St. Joseph Health System Family Medicine program.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive family medicine services from pediatrics to geriatrics.
- Work a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or until all patients are seen.
- Participate in call duties on a 1:7 basis (phone call only).
- Provide conventional family medicine practice, including chronic disease management, dressing changes, sutures, biopsies, pap smears, and joint injections/aspiration.
- Utilize basic laboratory services and perform minor procedures such as skin tag and mole removal.
- Manage an average patient census of 18-22 per day.
- Collaborate with one Nurse Practitioner and teach St. Joseph Health System Family Medicine residents.
- Maintain ethical standards in line with Catholic Health Care Services.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (cannot accept Internal Medicine).
- Experience working with patients of all ages pediatrics to geriatrics.
- Knowledge of EPIC EMR system is highly preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Indiana medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- Active DEA certification (or willingness to obtain).
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- COVID Vaccination requirement.
