MDMC is an inter-city hospital that sees about 1,900 annual deliveries and offers a residency program. A day in the life includes:- Caring for all pregnant women who present emergent, regardless of circumstance
- Cultivating relationships with staff nurses and hospital personnel
- Supporting private practice physicians by providing coverage and assistance
- Caring for unassigned patients
- Evaluating and treating triage patients
- Providing consultation to the ED
- Monitoring labor
- Delivering babies
- Performing surgery and surgical assists

Leadership Opportunities: Ob Hospitalist Group Site Directors perform an important dual clinical/professional role: ensuring their program is achieving clinical and operational objectives and guiding the hospitalist team.
Part of the OBHG leadership team, the site director reports to the Medical Director of Operations, and collaborates with the MDO to deliver excellent care, build and maintain relationships and oversee the program s financial health.
Responsibilities include working five or more Hospitalist shifts each month, and traveling to address hospital and operational priorities as needed.
