• Assignment Type: Travel RN job
• Contract Duration: 15 weeks
• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• End Date: May 11, 2026
• Hours per Week: 36 hours (after orientation week)
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts; variable days
• Unit: Adult Med/Surg (may float to surgical pediatrics or transitional care units)
• Bed Size: 50 beds
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or acute care RN experience
• Active Hawaii RN license or willingness to obtain prior to start
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Professional nursing attire and closed toe shoes required
• Must arrive Thursday before start date for employee health appointment
• Flexibility to work variable shifts and days; shift preference not guaranteed

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients (18+)
• Float to surgical pediatrics or transitional care units as needed
• Utilize clinical equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in department-specific training and orientation during the first week
• Maintain professional standards and comply with hospital policies
