Opportunity:

Job Details:
• Work night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Manage and oversee care of complex and high acuity/critical pediatric patients
• Perform Q1 hour minimum assessment and monitoring
• Provide culturally and developmentally appropriate direct clinical care
• Manage ventilator, BiPAP, CPAP, and oscillator equipment
• Conduct cardiac rhythm (EKG) assessment and analysis
• Assess, monitor, and trend continuous vitals including cardiac rhythm, respiratory rate, O2 sat, BP, arterial line waveforms
• Manage and appropriately titrate vasoactive, sedation, and insulin drips
• Run and analyze bedside POCT (iSTAT, ABG/VBG)
• Assist with bedside procedures including sedated LP, arterial line placement, CVL/PICC placement, intubation, chest tube placement
• Support and/or lead pediatric codes using PALS algorithm
• Perform sterile dressing changes
• Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and case reviews
• Complete timely documentation and promote respectful clinical environment
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in nursing required
• RN license (Single State or Multi-state Compact) required
• BLS certification required upon hire
• PALS certification required within 180 days
• Less than 1 year experience acceptable with completion of accredited nursing school
• Direct patient care experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills required
• Ability to function in fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies
