RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment length
• 2+ years of Pediatric Critical Care experience required
• Two years of management of pediatric critical care patients in high acuity setting required
• Required certifications: PALS, BLS
• Active Texas RN license required (temporary license will NOT be accepted)
• Care for critically ill pediatric patients with various disease processes including respiratory illnesses, sepsis, and DKA
• Manage patients with pressure lines (CVPs, arterial lines, some UAC/UVC)
• Work with ventilated patients using HFOV, VDR, Servo equipment
• Administer critical care drips including epinephrine, nor-epinephrine, milrinone, dopamine, precedex
• Care for complex trauma patients with EVDs, Codmans, requiring neuro assessments
• Manage complex pediatric postoperative patients with congenital anomalies, craniofacial procedures, tracheostomies
• Perform procedures including Foley insertions, trans-pyloric feeding tubes, dressing changes, port access
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Floating policy: As needed to NICU, CHSU, general pediatrics and peds hem/onc units (travelers float first)
• Dress code: Blue scrubs required, no artificial nails, neat and clean hair pulled back if shoulder length or longer, tattoos covered when possible, visible piercings other than ears prohibited
• Weekend and call requirements to be discussed during interview
