This role is for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician to join a well-established healthcare system in Richmond, VA, providing outpatient consultative care with limited procedures and no deliveries. The physician will work in a multi-physician practice setting, supporting two outpatient clinics and collaborating with neonatologists and nurse practitioners in affiliated NICUs. Candidates should have MFM fellowship training, relevant board certification, and be licensed or willing to obtain licensure in Virginia.

This opportunity is tailored for a full-time or part-time Board Eligible/Board Certified Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician to join our practice at the St. Mary s Hospital, part of the Bon Secours Mercy Health System. Job Responsibilities:- Open to part-time with guaranteed hours (NO Per Diem) or full-time candidates.
- Operate in an outpatient practice setting.
- Provide coverage due to a new position.
- Engage in outpatient clinics, consults, and a limited range of inpatient procedures at two hospitals.
- No deliveries required.
- Be part of a 2+ physician Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) practice offering consult-only services.
- Manage two outpatient clinic locations supported by Nurse Practitioners.
- Conduct minimal procedures, including cerclages (estimated 20-30 per year) and in-office Amniocentesis.
- Work with Level 2 and Level 3 NICUs associated with the group, covered by affiliated neonatologists and NNPs.
- Use Viewpoint and EPIC systems in practice.
- Preferred candidates should have at least 1 year of MFM work experience (not including fellowship); however, new/upcoming fellowship graduates are welcome to apply.
- This is a permanent position requiring residency in the immediate local area; relocation may be necessary.
- Not open to candidates seeking alternate shift schedules or those commuting from long distances (more than 1 hour).
- Board Certified in OB/GYN.
- Board Eligible (1-5 years from residency) or Board Certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- Fellowship-trained in MFM (to be completed prior to start).
- Clean Malpractice and License History.
- At least 1 year of MFM work experience (not including fellowship) is preferred.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a Virginia license.
- Current certification in BLS and ACLS or willing to obtain.
- VA license (or willing to obtain).
- BLS, ACLS certifications (or willing to obtain).
- DEA (must be obtained prior to start).
- Copy of the most recent NPDB Report (within 30 to 60 days active).
