RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Report directly to the on-duty Nursing Supervisor and Charge Nurse
• Handle a wide spectrum of medical conditions, maladies, and injuries in the emergency department
• Must be able to multi-task efficiently and assess and treat patients quickly, especially during acute illness or trauma
• Assist the emergency room team leader and acute care nurse as directed
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Current California nursing licensure in good standing required
• 1 year experience as an Emergency Department nurse preferred
• ACLS, PALS, and CPR certification required
• NRP and TNCC required within one year of hire date
• Conduct individualized patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patient's immediate condition
• Perform appropriate treatments as ordered by physician including EKGs, blood draws, IV starts
• Initiate emergency resuscitative measures according to appropriate protocols
• Provide individualized patient and family education
• Document patient assessment findings and responses to nursing interventions
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety and infection control standards
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work flexible hours when necessary
• Adhere to dress code with neat and professional appearance
• Complete annual education requirements and maintain regulatory requirements
