Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Jobs – Night Shift in Weston, West Virginia

West Virginia Nursing Job Details

• Location: Weston, WV 26452 (West Virginia nursing jobs)
• Facility Type: 70-bed rural acute care and telemetry hospital
• Contract Length: 13-week RN contract (extension possible)
• Start Date: 12/15/2025
• Shift: Night shift, 12 hours (6:45pm – 7:15am), 3–4 shifts/week
• Schedule: Weekdays with every other weekend required
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• EMR System: Cerner
• Scrubs: Burgundy (not provided)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending license considered)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association required)
• PALS certification preferred
• Strong telemetry skills required; pediatric and charge nurse experience preferred
• Ability to float to ER, ICU, and OP-Surgery units as needed
• Provide at least 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (75–100 miles considered case-by-case)

RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to adults, geriatrics, adolescents, and occasional pediatric patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response/code situations
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage IVs, feeding tubes, and surgical drains
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
• Float to ER, ICU, and OP-Surgery units to support patient care as needed
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner EMR
• Complete orientation and required modules prior to start date
