Locum Tenens Opportunity: Cardiothoracic Surgeon Location: Near Amherst, New Hampshire (Somersworth area)Assignment Duration: June 1, 2025 August 31, 2025Schedule: Up to 3 call shifts per month (including nights & weekends)Facility Type: Hospital Level 2 Trauma Support We are actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum tenens position in the Somersworth, NH region. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to a highly collaborative and patient-centered team while enjoying a flexible, part-time commitment. Position Highlights Type: Locum Tenens Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery Shifts: Call-only, up to 3 shifts/month (weeknights and weekends) Patient Volume: Approx. 5 patients per shift Support Team: Includes RNs, MAs, and APPs EMR Systems: eClinicalWorks (eCW) & Meditech Expanse Key Responsibilities Deliver expert hospital-based cardiovascular surgical care during on-call shifts Support Level 2 trauma care in coordination with emergency and surgical teams Collaborate with nursing and APP staff to ensure safe, timely, and effective patient care Document all care using eCW and Meditech Expanse Candidate Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery Active New Hampshire medical license (or eligibility to obtain) Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and collaboration skills Prior experience in trauma or call-based hospital coverage preferred Why This Opportunity?
