We are seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to join a well-established team in a state-of-the-art facility near Tampa, FL. Position Overview: Position: Emergency Medicine Physician (Locum Tenens) Location: Near Tampa, FL Job Reference: Job ID Board Certification Required: Board Eligible or Certified in Emergency Medicine Key Highlights: Facility Details: 28-bed Emergency Department with approximately 35,000 annual admissions. Mixed patient population, primarily adults, focusing on cardiac and neurological cases, including stroke patients. High acuity cases; less emphasis on pediatrics, obstetrics, and gynecology. No trauma center, but comprehensive support for critical care cases. Support Staff & Resources: Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), paramedics, respiratory therapists, phlebotomy, stroke team, and sepsis team. Access to specialized teams, including interventional radiology, cardiovascular surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, and nephrology. The facility is equipped with teleneuro robots for stroke care. Comprehensive Stroke Center designation. Shift Details: Weekdays: Shifts are 7 AM to 6 PM, 11 AM to 10 PM, and 8 PM to 7 AM. Weekends: 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM and 7 PM to 7 AM. APP coverage is provided from 9 AM to 9 PM and 1 PM to 1 AM, seven days a week. No call is required for this position. Procedures & Cases: The physician will handle core emergency medicine procedures, including moderate sedation. Common cases include cardiac emergencies, neurological cases, orthopedic injuries, and other high-acuity conditions. Physicians will sign out or admit patients for follow-up care as needed.
