- Floating Radius: 60 miles (Driver’s License must be submitted)
- Travelers are expected to float throughout the entire zone they are hired into.
- Each zone covers a 60-mile radius from the zone’s city center.
- Travelers are responsible for securing housing that allows them to meet floating requirements, regardless of housing location.
- No home base facility
- Clinicians must be in-state for the full week of orientation, even if the first day consists of remote modules.
- Unit/department-specific orientation: 1–2 days with a preceptor
Multiple PCU/IMC units covering a wide range of specialties, including:

- Minimum 2 years of PCU/IMC experience

- Epic experience preferred
- Must have experience with:

- Charge Nurse: Designated charge nurse on each unit
- Typically does not take an assignment unless necessary
- Night shift charge more commonly carries a small patient assignment

- Shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Schedules are created by leadership 6 weeks in advance
- Travelers must be flexible and help fill staffing gaps
- All time-off requests must be submitted prior to assignment start
- 6–9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- May be required to participate in holiday rotation
- Rare; only for low census
- Assignments may include floating to:
- ICU (low-acuity holds within skill set)

- Float assignments are communicated via schedule or daily assignment tools.
