Shift: Nights, 6:30pm-7am; floating and call required
Experience Required: 2+ years ER nursing
Certifications Required:
Call Requirement: 2 hours prior to shift start minimum
Patient Ratio: 4:1

Unit/Setting: Emergency Department, Level 3 Trauma
EMR: MedHost (EDIS)
Job Summary:
The RN is responsible for providing safe, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department, using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Responsibilities include:
Utilizing critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to anticipate and plan care
Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education
Delegating patient care priorities based on staff experience and education
Performing thorough assessments and communicating findings effectively
Administering medications safely and monitoring for side effects
Adhering to safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
Providing direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care
