Long-term federal detention psychiatry role with health & dental benefits. Psychiatrist (board-certified or board-eligible) for permanent long-term coverage at a federal detention center south of Phoenix, AZ. Full-time schedule with flexible shifts (days, nights, weekends). Permanent position with potential extensions beyond Sept 2025. - Board-certified in Psychiatry or board-eligible - Unrestricted Arizona medical license - BLS certification - Minimum 1 year psychiatry experience - Detention/correctional or residential experience preferred

Welcome to an exciting opportunity with Medstaff! We are currently seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist or recent graduate eager to sit for the boards to join our team for long-term coverage at a Federal detention center just south of Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric and mental health care needs
• Provide care for family units, urgent and emergency mental health cases
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care
• Offer gender-specific care, including transgender care and mental health management during pregnancy

Qualifications:

• Board certification in Psychiatry or eligibility to sit for boards
• Unrestricted Arizona license and BLS certification
• Minimum of one year of psychiatry experience
• Experience in detention/correctional or residential settings preferred
• Flexibility to cover various shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
• Bi-lingual skills are a plus
