Job Opportunity: Physician - Hospitalist - OB in Davenport, IA
Trinity Health s MercyOne Genesis in Davenport, Iowa, is seeking a full-time OB/GYN Laborist physician to join a busy, collaborative, and established team. You will provide comprehensive inpatient OB & GYN care within a supportive hospital environment, working closely with community health clinics and midwives. This is a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful work while participating in a collaborative care model that enhances patient safety and community health.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide hospital support for OB & GYN patients in a busy inpatient setting.
- Deliver collaborative care alongside a community healthcare partner (FQHC) and midwives.
- Manage approximately 80 deliveries monthly in a high-volume, supportive environment.
- Provide 24-hour in-house coverage for labor & delivery, OB/GYN triage, and ER calls as needed.
- Serve as a regional referral resource for GYN patients.
- Perform daily rounding on post-operative and postpartum patients.
- Participate in a collaborative care model enhancing patient safety and community health.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team including anesthesia, NICU, and midwives.
- No separate doc call expected; this is a full-time dedicated hospitalist role.
- Support and enhance hospital protocols during the launch of 24-hour in-house coverage in April 2025.
Qualifications
- Board Certified in OB/GYN - REQUIRED.
- Iowa medical license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED.
- High preference for clean malpractice history.
- Not accepting locums candidates or visa candidates.
License and Certification Requirements
- Must be Board Certified in OB/GYN.
- Support for H1B and J1 visas is available for full-time positions.
